HEALTH IMPACT ASSESSMENT
The HIA is a combination of methods and tools with which the potential effects of a given project on the health of a population can be estimated, with a quantitative and qualitative evaluation approach, and the distribution of such effects within the population.
The VIS is mandatory following the changes introduced by Legislative Decree no. 104/2017 to art. 23 of Legislative Decree no. 152/2006,.
NOAEL AND LOAEL
We provide assistance in the evaluation of in vitro and in vivo toxicology studies aimed at identifying NOAELs and LOAELs, and carcinogenicity studies with particular regard to the possible relevance to human health.
TOXICOLOGY
We evaluate the harmful effects that chemicals can have on people or animals
RISK ASSESSMENT AND CAUSATION
We evaluate the dose- and exposure-response curves and their extrapolation. We study the exposure level below which there is no appreciable risk to health. We consider the role of factors (age, sex, lifestyle, conditions, exposures, etc.) that modify the risk of developing a disease.
THE ROLE OF RISK FACTORS
Our judicial and extrajudicial consultancy concerns all aspects relevant to the attribution of the causal link between a disputed exposure and an illness attributed to the exposure.
